Something similar to this?
http://www.lmperformance.com/1858/1.html
I installed one on mrjuice's 00 z and it has lots of top end power on the highway.
I think he did gain 1-2 mph consistently with it installed

The bottom part can be removed because in extreme summer heat this full intake set up blocks the radiator considerably and raises the temp :(

It's sort of like fast toy's. I left the bottom portion of it because it does block the air to the radiator. That's just as equally as important as getting air to the engine. You lose HP if the engine heats up quickly.

If you buy it you better get some JB weld for palstic too. I scraped mine 1 time and it broke. I love it to death but I keep breaking it. It would help if my car wasnt lowered i doubt id have any problems then. Overall good product as long as you have the stock ride height. :D

My car isn't lowered so this wouldn't be a problem. I heard somewhere that they were coming out with a track version of the lower piece. It's going to have a real big inlet for use at the strip.

is that contraption utilizing the factory airbox for collection? (like a cai) is it cai? and if not, can you use it with a cai?
Not a problem, just a challenge...

Any of these "contraptions" will work with a stock or aftermarket lid. CAI is the SLP version. They all use cold air induction(cai) Whisper, ftra, SLP, and the Supersucker are all similar. The Supersucker is different in that it has an extra piece that fits into the top piece from the bottom. This bottom piece actually projects into the airstream like a scoop on a cars hood. This scoop however, is attached under the front bumper. For pictures go to Speed Inc' website under induction.

If it is blocking the radiator to much I would think the FTRA would be better and its cheaper.

My SS came with an SLP CAI so I purchased the new Fast Toys upgrade for it.

Has anyone done this yet? I'm guessing its exactly like the FTRA set up.

The Supersucker angles away from the radiator at the bottom. There is probably a 2-3 inch gap from the back of the supersucker to the radiator, unlike the ftra which lays flush against the radiator. Also, with Autotap the supersucker air inlet temp(AIT) was 4-5 degrees cooler consistently than ftra. Your car runs cooler and the air entering the engine is cooler. Sounds good to me.
