      coated vs non-coated headers

coated hedders are usually covered with a ceramic-based material that prevents excess leakage of heat into an engine compartment and also helps seal the headers from elements and keep them from rusting.

coated headers are usually just made of metal and have none of the above advantages. Most tend to rust within a few years (this number varies depending on use, environment, and type of metal they are made from) and are considered a lesser quality.

I had heard that the pacesetters did not come with the "Y" pipe but I cannot confirm this (or JC whitney's). Best bet would be to call the seller and ask. The "Y" is not difficult to make, but you could probably expect any muffler shop to charge you ~$100 or more to make one (measurements & manufacturing).
Not a problem, just a challenge...

The pacesetters for the 3.8L do not exsist yet. They have been "in the works" for roughly 9 months now. And listed in catalogs for like 6 months.

Maybe by some miricale they are actaully producing them now. But I dought it.

I actually just called Pacesetter telling them that they have a lot of interest surrounding their production of headers for the 3.8L FBody.

The guy I talked to, I quote, said, "They have not been overlooked and they are going to be made. They will not be on the market, however, for atleast 90 days."

Figured I'd chime in with some straight-from-the-source information.

But hey, who knows with this company

I hope they dont over look them. Having something besides the RKSport headers would be nice.

They've been saying that same available in 90 day quote for the past 6 months.
