  • I want to see my diff

The other day I saw a bad ars brand new formula. It looked real nice and I was noticing he had a red sway bar and maybe some other suspension work. Something looked out of the ordinary about it and I couldn't figure it out. Later I realized that you can't see our rear ends because of the muffler. I don't know what he did but I liked it, made the back of the car look DAMNED aggresive (The rims helped alot too). I don't think it was straight piped and he had some nice chrome tips. Anyone know how to go about doing this or what I saw?

ah ha! I believe we have a winner! Any way I could go about something like this? it looked really good but don't think loudmouth would sound good on a 3.8 I know some have got it on here and liked it but I'm very skeptical.

it sounds good its just loud hense the name, i think i heard something aobut replacing a cat with a 40 series flowmaster earlier that would quietn it down and give it a good tone as well, you could start there, and this might give you the look you are wanting another thought is maybe going back to the old muscle car days where they jacked the back end up, just a few suggestions man. hope i helped a little.

I was thinking it was lifted so you could see the rear but it wasn't. Lifting the rear would not look good on my car at all, I like the stance it has now (put air shocks in my 86 bird, not for this car though). What about getting a custom cat-back kit made? Theres a real good muffler shop here that can mandrel bend anything you want and I could go off the loudmouth idea with a resinator or small muffler. Any clips of the loudmouth on a 3.8? I found a link in an old post but the link doesn't work any more. Thanks for the help

no prob. i had a similar system to the loud mouth that was custom made. it was pretty much straight out 3 inch pipe. it sounds really good until you get over 3k with it after that it is debatable but if you were to have a muffler this would solve the problem flowmaster makes some sort of resonater that goes on the i pipe that is supposed to get rid of the rasp its on their website under accessories i think. taht was a thought for me for a while. but no matter what you do as long as you have a muffler in the position the car was designed tohave it you more than likely will not see the differential. unless it is as thin as exhaust pipe.

Sweet man, thanks. I think I'm gonna head to that muffler shop some time and see what they can do for me. I'll have to paint my sway bar and other components vs buy new, to poor :D . But I think it'll look real good
