  • Has anyone ever weighed the slp loudmouth???

I've done a search and no answers.
I know how it sounds on a v6.
I've heard 20-30 pounds weight reduction on an ls1 vs stock
    Anyone???

Not sure on the SLP. I do know that flowmaster makes a lightweight muffler that is around 9lbs. I did post that info in here a few weeks back with the part #.

You looking to loose weight, or just want the loudmouth? ;)

[off-topic] well, how does it sound? Too hollow in the upper range??
Someone had a clip of a cut-out that sounded really good and deep (though I don't remember what the top end sounded like), was it close? [/off-topic]

sat: I rembemer hearing a clip of a V6. Fairly hollow up top, almost a psuedo modded Maxima sound to it, which isn't bad if you like it. And one DEEP idle.

not sure if it helps but I noticved 100% nill difference running no catback exhaust, and a unhooked catbacked, weighed maybe 15 lbs.

I do not like the sound at higher rpm's
The bird is no longer a daily driver as soon as my sable is home.
                Weight saving would be nice
Nitrous and loudmouth would be VERY loud!

Why not save some $ and get a bullet muffler in the Ipipe and a cutout after it? The hack off the rest of the muffler.

the loudmouth is basically a cutout that exits at the rear.....

Best weight saver would be no exhaust.

That's all Borla looks like to me is a cutout that exits at the rear. Sure you can "adjust" the plates and then have the cutout half-way open and stuff like that...but it seem's like a whooole lot of money for that.

Hey James, i throught you go slower in you ets when the cutout is open? Loudmouth is pretty much going to be the same thing as opening your cutout or at least not much diffrence.
