    Do you guys think this is a good thing or not?

    what kind of headers do you have? Stock manifolds not a good idea. But headers maybe. What kind do you have?

      Yes, wrapping headers will help if they are uncoated. Ceramic coatings keep under hood tempratures down too.

        Good for power, can reduce their lifespan though considerably. Also only wrap stainless steel, otherwise you'll ruin what you wrap.

          Mummified headers: bad idea. I've seen a couple of civics at my school burn up their $350 headers by wrapping them (figures, eh?). They cut down on underhood temps, but burn the header inside to pieces.

          Just ceramic coat them: there's a thread maybe a page or two down that talks about them.
          16 years old with no car and big dreams...

              I wrapped my headers and y pipe with thermo tec header wrap.
              1 month to the day of install it caught on fire causing $3000+ damage!!!
              In that month though it ran MUCH better.
              IMO don't do it!
