  • Ram Air on V6?

First of all I love the Ram Air hoods. They make a v6 look more powerful and plus it just looks alot better. I was wondering if it would be worth it to put a ram air intake on a 3.4 ltr v6, or if it is even possible to do it. If not I still want to put the hood on but I will probably just put a SLP cold air intake on since I have heard alot of good stuff about it.

I would just do the hood and CAI.
I'm not totally sure, but I hear that the CAI gives better results anyway.

i got the predator ram air hood on my 3.4liter with the ram air and i love it, i had the cold Air Induction from K&N and my car was faster with ram air...my friends 99 grand am gt with K&N and exhuast used to beat me runin a 15.7 i got the ram air and i can pull on him from even a roll on the high way now...so my vote goes towards ram air

let me clear it up your cars not gonna beat a 15.7 just cuz you have ram air....i had other stuff done to my car at the time but it deffiently helps especially from a roll where you prolly noticed our cars lag in power but it helped with acceleration from a roll for sure

It really all depends on the engine modification as to how much the ram air will help the 3.4L V6. I have the SLP Ultra Z hood and the airbox and with my modification, I can definitely tell a better difference with the ram air than with the CAI. Then again, I have more done to my engine that most 3.4L owners on the board.
