Header tape is used to keep the heat inside your exhaust therefore cooling the engine bay. I was wondering from anyone with experience does it work? and does it help with HP or torque?

    Thanks

Header wrap supposedly does. Some claim it keeps it up to 70% cooler, and that's the difference between ceramic coated and painted headers, so yes, there can be a HP difference.

is your car a pure drag racing car?

if it isnt, dont bother getting it.

It wicks moisture and whatever you wrap will rust out much faster, coatings are the better solution.

Header tape and header wrap will only keep engine bay temps lower, where your header pipes will actually be hotter under the wrap/tape, shortening the life of your headers. They will crack with tape/wrap. The only reason you should get tape/wrap is for a strictly drag car. It is not for the daly driver.

Gotta love the search function at camaroz28.com, it's like a library.
