  • FLOMASTER CATBACK ... I'm ready to order

I'm living in France, there's not many camaros and all I've seen are stock...
So I've never heard a camaro with a non stock exhaust

Do you thing that a Flowmaster Cat-Back System with Stainless Steel Tips(FM17358) is a good choice?

I don't want a really loud catback, because cops in france are not really cool with loud exhaust

How Many HP can I expect (I've got FREE, K&n, Whisper lid,!Maf Screen...well good admission set up, it's time to free my exhaust!)

Flowmaster is the perfect choice. It is not SUPER LOUD like the Slp loudmouth. It has a very nice tone.

I don't really know about the HP gain. Maybe 5-10 at the wheels.

DOn't you guys measure power output in Kilowatts instead of HP?

Well , We measure in DIN HP, you in SAE HP

        200 hp SAE = 203 hp DIN,
and europe camaro is 193 hp rated, they've change the muffler to keep it quiet...
So with the catback..I'll win a least 7hp ....that's really cool

You will probably get a lot of dirty looks.

The stock muffler they give us here in the states is really quiet. If yours is even quieter, your neighbors are in for a big shock.

            Dirty looks? He's in France...

They'll just wave white flags while he passes and call his car a "peeg" when he's gone...

There was an article in Popular Hot Rodding that had the Flowmaster giving 11 hp at the wheels.

                11hp on a v6? I'd doubt it on a LS1 too.
French- since things costs so much what you should do it buy in stages when you have the money, but install all at once. What I'd propose is buying the cat back you like, a month or two later getting headers and a high flow cat. Then going to the shop and getting it all put on.
Of course, in the long run shipping should be less if you bought everything at once.
That sucks you have to pay for shipping across the ocean :/ Even here the ricers have ricer stores, where they can get japanese parts. At least you're not driving one of those goofy looking Euro-cars!

                  Thanks folks!

MrCoffee, sure it piss me off to pay the shipping across the ocean... that the way for people who don't like goofy looking Euro-Cars (I like your expression ;) ,
I'll put it on put by myself...because men in the european goofy looking Euro-cars shops make bad work and ask me $$$ when they work on a car they don't seen everyday ...

A more bad *** sound, give my camaro the 7hp that european rules 've stolen, with a little extra hp... is all I need

Do you have pics of this catback installed on a camaro? Everyone got it...but I can't find pics !!!

                    www.projectvirus.com/ultimateexhaust

There's a sound clip and a video taken from behind where you can hear what it sounds like.

3" Flowmaster catback but it also has headers.
