• Exhaust for V6 3.4 Firebird

Greetings Guys! I am new here, the name's Attila.. im 19 and have a 1995 Firebird v6 3.4Liter...

I want to add the quad exhaust look to my car with chrome or polished ends, so that it looks stylish and matches my brand new 17" centerline rims I just got recently.

I am very strict on budget, and do not want to spend insane ammounts, what do you suggest?

I am in Vancouver, BC, Canada... we have AirCare here so i dunno if that has to do with anything

well if your on a budget i suggest getting the Super-Turbo exhaust that JCwhitney.com sells. I got that kit and i love the sound of it and the performance. Its a whole cat-back for $149 which is the cheapist by far. The only other thing u need to buy for it is the tips, which u can find any style you want then.

I got a flowmaster catback for my 3.4, and it sounds great IMO. It is a 2.5 inch catback with a dual outlet 5 inch 80 series muffler. Dropped .3 in the 1/8 also

Thank you guys for getting back to me..

Spootydink, the URL of http://www.splmeter.com/94camaro.html

Is this your install??

If so,

Q1: are you using the Flowmaster 80 part number: 17356 for this.

Q2: where did you cut the old exhaust? by the cat converter?

Q3: are you re-using the pipe tube that came from the cat converter to the stock muffler, by attaching it to the new muffler from the cat converter?

Thanks for the help!

yes its my install

1) Yes
2) no cutting, just unbolt from the cat and take it off. If your car isnt on a lift you will have to cut the stock I pipe like we did to get it off. The new I pipe is a 2 piece, so it goes on easily.
3) No, the catback includes a new, bigger diameter pipe. This allows better performance. Catback exhaust = new stuff from the cat to the back of the car. Glad I can help

spootydinkcamaro94:

Where did you buy the flowmaster muffler/kit? Our biggest car parts store in Canada (LORDCO) does not even carry it yet... so I am wondering of any online sites I can get it from.

I am thinking of just getting the muffler, and having an engine shop do the rest so that I save some money.

Thanks in advance

Silicuda, if you want to know what that flowmaster sounds like on your car, scroll down the topics screen. I made a post a couple days ago where I put a link to a guy's website who had two sound clips of his 3.4 firebird with the flowmaster 80. The heading says something like "two very good sound clips of the flowmaster 80." Wow is all I have to say! They sound great.

I got mine as a present from my dad - but there is a site called bigexhaust.com or something like that that sells it for 256 or so.
