turn your radio down or get the ear wax out of your ears!

I wouldn't worry about it. If you already have exhaust work you probably won't hear it. I heard a difference with a lid (you can't get one for 96) but that was because I had stock quiet exhaust to begin with. As long as the car feels stronger who cares!

I have the stock exhaust which is quiet. Is there any reason why my cai isnt making the sucking noise?
thanks,

Hey buddy,

When I cold start my car, you have to be DEAF not to hear any sucking noises, but after it warms up, it is VERY hard to hear, and with flow's on, impossible. so don'tworry too much about it! Like 99Camaro99 said, as long as you get performance, don't worry!

Usually when it is a cold engine you will hear a lod sucking sound.
Try and pop the hood next time and then start it and listen.
When it is warm it isn't that loud

When I had mine is sounded like I had a blow dryer under the hood, all of my friends always asked me if I had something wrong with my car, lol. It sounded really cool, especially when it was cold at idle, but alas it gone.

When my car was at a shop, the guy asked me "What is that noise?".

I just smiled and pointed to the intake. When cold, it is LOUD. When its warmed, only time I can hear it is when I get above 3k RPMs.

I don't notice mine at all on startup. But there is a noticable whoosh sound when i'm accelerating. With the windows down, i can even hear it with my Loudmouth exhaust. Sounds really cool; but i wouldn't worry if you can't hear it, you still get the performance.

My dad can't hear it on my car. Some people just don't hear certain frequencies; at least thats my scientific explanation. ;)

edit: i have the K&N
