• Who has heard a cutout on a 3.4?

I'm really thinking about getting one since it'll only cost about $70. How do you think it sounds? I downloaded a clip of a 3.8 with on from here, and it sounded really good. I'm just starting to get used to my flowmaster muffler, and need something that'll be lounder when i want it to be

my cutout is b4 the cat, it sounds like a goddamn monster truck. i only use it at the track, most poeple say they get a tenth or so better w/ it if im not mistaken.

$70???? i got mine from summit for $30, for around a hundred you can get the electric kind that you can open/close from inside the car.

dude, don't get a cutout, they're awful. i liked mine for a little bit, just because it was something new. but it really sounds awful and it robbed me of hp and torque. would not suggest a cutout.

I meant that it cost me $70 total. That includes the install. I was also just thinking, since it'll be pretty much right under the car, would a gas smell get into the car?

Also, would it be the 3" or 2.5" inch flowtech cutout that I would need?

on a 3.4L the cutout is the best mod I have done.

helped me pull 2 cars on a friend, when we used to run even.

And sounds better than any exhaust I have heard.

honestly I started cutting .2-.3 tenths off my times whit unhooking my I-pipe, I ahd a clogged cat at the time so it was giving me some backpressure, but the 3.4L really needs to open up the exhaust.

too free flowing and the car will lose pwoer, but if done right it brings world of gains on a 3.4L.

Also for the sound, it sounds mean, a bit loud but very mean.
