I have a flowmaster catback on my car now but its only 2.25 inch pipe. I am planning on getting pacesetter headers and high flow cats with 3 inch pipes. My question is do i need a muffler... will mny car be faster without one? I just dont care to spend money where i dont need to spend it.

Its all prefrence. It not gonna kill performance to keep your 2.25 flowmaster system. If you are happy with it...keep it. Unless your gonna drop some serious money on some engine work or power addder, then don't worry about it, it will be a minimal difference. -
That's not true. Our stock cats are very restrictive. Going from a stock cat to a highflow is a jump. Going from 2.25'' to 3'' all the way through will increase performance alot, especially in the top end.
