I was just wondering...I hate how the rev limiter on my 97 RS only lets me rev the engine to 4000 RPMs, I just got my new exhaust on and i cant stand not being able to rev it up higher to let people hear it. How hard is it to take the rev limiter off? And how do you do it?

You can't take a rev limiter off. You can raise it though. That's odd that your car only rev's to 4,000... I'm sure mine can rev up to redline.
To move the rev limiter up (if I wanted) I could use the HPP3 that I have.

Oh in neutral...I dunno how high I've reved in neutral. The only time I've ever brought it up high to show someone was when it was in park. For what you're talking about I dont think the HPP3 would help.

yea I have a 96 Camaro and when in park I can only rev it 4000 RPM and then the car kind of shakes and makes a back-rap sound. The first time I did it I thought it was bad for the car or something cause it sounded nasty.

Why would you want to rev that high in neutral anyways? Sounds awful.

Ha...yeah I've been wondering why they want to rev that high too. But I'm just wondering if I can...because I've never tried (which makes me wonder why they have...)
