• Which intake flows best?

I am leaning towards the SLP CAI but which flows best between these three?

The SLP CAI, the Moroso High Flow Intake System, or the K&N FIPK?

I have the SLP in my 97 Bird. I think it is awesome. As soon as i put it in i felt a big difference. My Accelation is better, and my top end is better. I say go with the SLP u wont be dissapointed

If you have a 3.4L the K&N is the best but if you have the 3.8L I believe the SLP is best. I have the SLP on my 97. Assuming you have a 3.4L in that 95 than get the K&N

So the K&N Flows better than the SLP? Is it worth the extra $15-25 dollars? Is the plastic setup actually all that strong?

What about the SSRA? That has to give up more hp, it gets the coldest air possible, it isnt even form the engine bay. I lone FTRA, my buddy has it, but i have never exsperianced any other one, but the SSRA should be better bt disign.

Is there much of a difference in power increase between the SLP CAI and the K&N FIPK?

Here, how about this, buy the K+N, buy the SLP, do an expensive flow test just to find out that they flow so damn close it won't make a difference at all, considering they both will flow as much air as the tb will allow through, and return the K+N, have the stronger, better looking SLP, and buy yourself a case of beer with the extra money to keep your spirits up while you install it......really, it's up to you, which do you prefer? They flow nearly identical. I have ran both of them, I prefer my SLP. Test and confirm for the ultimate truth.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the SLP kit available for the 3.4 is actually a cold air kit for the 93 LT1, but it fits the 3.4 tubing. So, a cold air kit for the LT1 won't flow efficiently for the 3.4.....hmmmmmm. You choose, I'm not trying to be biased, I'm trying to help you make up your mind. The K+N is an easier installation, but neither are hard.....but a hint, if you use the SLP kit, use vaseline in the rubber hose to insert the metal tubing....it is much easier.

Thx man, just made up my mind, getting the SLP.

Everyone kept trying to tell me the SLP kit is about as restrictive as stock intake tubing and stock ****ty *** airbox but I didn't believe it. Thanks

I love my slp, although it's a pain in the butt to install/recharge filters without a hoist

I think it have it down now though..

i'd say go for the SLP... looks great, install's not that bad, just make sure you have an hour on your hands, and sounds great

for my old 3.4L i actually made a ghetto intake (still with the filter in the front fender), i used 3" tubing, and have to say that it worked really well, and saved me about $165+ but i wouldn't do that for the 3.8L... just didn't have hte heart, had to get the best one... looks more $$bling$$
