I know it's probably been discussed before, But i'm considering running a 3" cutout on my 3" flowmaster system.
I've gotten nothing but mixed reviews, and i would like to know from those who have gained and lost power: WHERE in the powerband was it lost? everywhere, just low, mid, or top?
Well, not me but my friend use to have an 02 and we did a lot of tests at the track on it. To start, at the time he just had cold air induction and a muffler and cutout. He ran a 15.4 consitent on 3 runs with the cutout shut. When we opened it he ran a 15.1 consistently. He had a y87 btw. From seeing this I always thought that you would gain power. I don't know about what others say though.

yeah, that was my next question.
a pre-cat cutout will not only possibly? mess with post cat O2's to throw things off (dont know if this applies at WOT), or even cause the L36's already too sensetive knock sensors to go crazy with the increased noise so close to the engine. maybe about 3 feet down from the cat?
