That sounds great on a Z28. You're always going to have that drone sound since its a V6.

Rumbler was a name for the catback. We wanted something everyone could remember, but hadn't been used before. We had the name before we even had the prototype catback fabbed up. And the bad thing about our cars is, it takes alot to make a "rumble" sound, especially under load.

headers & 3" through gmmg @ 2k - 3k rpm "rumbles" but i guess $700 for a cat-back, it better turn gas into gold. sadly... mine doesnt :( , gold that is.....

I've heard GMMG.....it's nice, but not even close to $700 worth of nice. My Rumbler rumbles:) Seriously though, anyone that expects a simple catback to make our V6's sound like an old muscle car has another thing comin'. It takes more than that to get the mean sounds. The Rumbler is just the highest flowing catback available. And among its closest competitors as far as flow, it sounds the best.

I am sorry if you do not like the sound of your Rumbler...On the plus side, it will be VERY easy to sell it on the LS1 boards if you chose to, because LS1 guys love it (most V6 guys do too). But everyone's opinions differ! Happy motoring!

I not a complete dummy I know a v6 is going to have it far share of droneyness. Unless you bore the thing to hell and throw a cam in there. Like I have been driving around for a week now and I used to it and like it. I am just asking now if tips would change the sound for the good, because I have no tips on it as of now.

P.S. Ted I was not in Delaware today I slept till 11 then went to work from 3 till mid night.

Yea, I don't think nomatter what we do it's not going to change a whole heck of a lot. Almost every exhaust i've heard has that same base sound too it but maybee with just an altered tone. I haven't really heard one really great jaw dropping exhaust. The thing is I can live with the exhaust setups though, because they don't really sound *bad* at all.

Tips, unless they are resonator tips, will not damatical change the sound of your exhaust. And usually, they won't make it sound better, only worse, from my experience.

Ok so don't waste the money on the tips. I got another question some guy at work that like 30 is like a Chevy gear head but he all about v8 he was saying something like I could screw up the computer or something if I don't recalibrate it. I know there a chance but it not throwing any system lights should I just ignore what he saying or should I get the jet thing and do that?

Ignore him. A catback alone is nothing to make you need re-programming.

theres no such thing as an exhaust that will "rumbler" under a load on a v6, sorry, and if you dont like the Rumbler, get the Flowmaster, then you'll see how much better the rumbler sounds...

Yah I mos deff wouldn't off gotten a flow master my friend has a 3.8 mustang with flow 40 on it and it sounds alright but i'm not too crazy about it and I figured mine would be the same or similar for me so ehh on that. There fore I am very happy over all with the rumbler.

hmm i just sitten here bored thinken how much of a diffrence sound wise will the rumbler sound once there headers on there. Does any one have an idea?
