  • questions about cleaning a K&N air filter

I cleaned my filter last night and let it dry overnight. When I woke up I sprayed it with the oil stuff before going to class. It's still wet with the oil (if I put a piece of paper on top of the filter, oil transfers). I oiled it like 8 hours ago. Do I need to take a paper towel and wipe off the excess or what? I'm going to wipe the excess off from around the rubber part, but still, should the filter itself have that muc oil after this long?

Re-clean it with dish soap (to remove the excess oil), and lightly spray oil on it again. I did the same thing when I bought my K&N filter. You don't need alot of oil sprayed on it, just a mist.

Yeah you just over oiled it.
Use it sparingly first. If you see white spots left over then just fill them in.
      Heh...dont use the whole bottle...
