• Finally got my Muffler today!

It is quite possible none of you care, but after wating a month the Muffler I ordered came in...it was probably in stock down the street at Car Quest, but I used an internet store.

I bought a Dynomax Superturbo muffler, I hope the hell it sounds good, though I may wait till next spring to put it on now, becasue I am putting the car away for the winter in a week

I did order a set of Pacesetter headers, but I cancelled that, and am waiting to see if long tubes come out in the spring.

anyways, do I have an Dynomax owners in the HIZZOUSE, what do yas think?

I used to have it I switched to the take off z28 because after driving back and forth between cities, the drone got kind of my nerves. Around town I loved it since since it turned heads with just the muffler, no bigger I-pipe or anything like that. Anyways, hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, I got it too because everybody said it was super quiet. So I went ahead amd ordered one, and was pleased with the results driving away from the muffler shop. Got on it and sounded realll good up the entire RPM band. I have an auto too so I don't reach the raspiness end of the RPM's. Broke it in around town. Got on the freeway for a couple of errands. Down here we have just one small freeway so I did not notice the drone till I finally got on it. Thought okay, it's cool just needs to burn in. Took it back and forth to Houston which is like 400 miles back and forth, then around town. It had that drone :( But if your not traveling much like I do cause I do that like every other week, just keep it and enjoy it. Didn't mean to bring it down or anything, just my experience with it. Good luck!

i don't hear any drone with mine, I love it. There might be a slight one at highway speed but some good music can drown that out real easy, I've never heard it cus the radio is never off on the highway :D

Yeah with the radio you cannot hear it that much, but I usually kept it kind of low just to keep track of what is going around me. If I have it all loud might not hear something till it is too late. Otherwise it does rock. Never tried it with cruise control though. But in the 65-70 mph range, you should still be alright.

I"Ve got the dynoman ultra flow kit. # inch in and out with the 3" everything from the cat back. I get quite a bit of drone, but like other members said just turn the radio on or something. The drone is onl yon the hiway. Anyone who hasn't considered this muffler should, sounds similar to the superturbo but is louder and deeper.

M5Camaro- The take off Z-28 is the closest you will get to stock sound. When you punch it, you know it is there, cruising around you will hear a slight rumble. On the highway, zero noise. To me, it sort of has a Mustang GT sound, just not as deep. I love it. Performance wise though, it is not even close to the Dynomax. On the Dynomax, as soon as I hit the gas, my passengers would get planted in there seats hard. On the Z-28, its just a slight umph. I am really thinking of going back to the Dynomax and maybe put a resonator to lower it down a bit??? Not trying to hijack a thread or anything either lol. Just wanted to put this out there so people know. Z-28 is a lot quieter then the Super Turbo, then again the Dynomax Super Turbo is more free flowing hence the sound. Hope it helps

ya, a little bit of drone aint bad I guess, as long as it has a damn good sound! ....I wish I could install it soon, but the car is only on the road for another week, and I am kinda short of money anyways :( I stil gotta hunt for the perfect set of tips, or I suppose I could go with the normal tail pipe look, less suspicious I suppose

Well, I coldnt wait no longer...no suprise, I went to get it installed at a muffler shop, and they said it would be cheaper to buy pre made tail pipes, so I had to order them, buy the time they come in, it will be time to put the car away :(

Pre-made??? Did you try a different shop? I am pretty sure you could buy em at like an Autozone or something if they don't have any.

pre made...buy them, exactly as they should be, rather then spending 2 or 3 hours trying to make it, and make it look right...I dunno, I may not bother this year, I am to busy with work, and its no fun getting it installed next Saturday when I will put the car away next Sunday and not see it again till May
