• MIGHT of found a soultion to Upper RPM Sound!

It is a Carsound Converter. NOT their Stainless Steel High Flow. It is another Cat they sell that has a resonator in it!

Resonated Carsound Converter

I sent them an E-Mail asking them about it. Here is the response...

Derek,

This cat will not really help alot. The resonator inside is only about 4" long
so it is not going to take out too much sound. This cat was really designed to
help certain vehicles (Cadillac's, Jeep's) that have some extra tone when the
cat is changed. It's not really designed to quiet a performance exhaust. You
can try them though, it wont hurt anything. It may not do too much.

Don't our cars have some "EXTRA" tone up top?
Since he said it wouldn't hurt, I am going to buy one.

3" Resonated Cat & 3" Dynomouth Cat-Back!

Thank you.

hey man thats great. I have been thinking of adding resonated tips just to see how it will sound, if that doesnt work maybe Ill add a bullet muffler to the I pipe, or if this helps maybe Ill try it. I have a catco right now and Im not to impressed with it, although I didnt get a ses which is cool, I just think it kinda makes the exhaust sound cheap.

I've only advocated the use of resonators since I got my exhaust on 15 months ago.

I agree, sounds like a great idea but does it really work...esp since its designed for larger displacment engines like a V8.

I have been thinking about that. Since my car is a Daily Driver and I don't race more than once a month at most....

Well, I have already purchased SLP Loudmouth...
But, I can use the Back part (where it splits), and sell the front w/resonator! I can have a 2.5" I-Pipe made with a muffler on it.

See my next topic for more information.
