• Guys with headers, do headers make it any easier to change spark plugs

Just changed the plugs in my car last week, and let me tell you, there is no room in there if you got anything but small hands. Do installing headers give you any more room to change the plugs, or do they make it worse. Just wondering. And also, how much extra power did your headers give you??? Thanks Jason

Yes they make it a LOT eaiser to change plugs on the 3.8, and they probably only give you a few hp, but add more in conjunction with full intake/exhaust. Also makes the exhaust sound better IMO!

I went from the tubular manifolds(2000 car), to pacesetters. It used to take me 10 minutes to change them blindfolded and with one hand. Now it takes longer. They got more difficult. The bends are not that creatively placed, and could have been made alot better so that changing plugs would still be easy. Just my opinion.

There is no way possible to change the plugs in a 96 3.8 with manifolds. IT is to tight in there. Lots of swivels and adapters

Correct, unless you have tubular manifolds (2000+ cars) and then it is VERY easy. So it may get easier for you to change them if your car is pre-2000.

with the pacesetter headers.. i can do spark plugs and wires in about 15 min.

the majority of the time is spent on cylinder 4 spark plug.

the way the primaries are placed, it makes it imposible to get to #4 plug with a regular socket and wrench.. all it took to get to this was a 3/8's swivel socket.. problem fixed.. no hassle
