LS1 Lid help

hey again, u all have probably seen me posting about trying to get an high flow lid, well i found one... the only problem is it is off of my bros old TA... so here are my questions...

1) If anyone here works at or knows someone who does, will SLP be able to do some kind of swap for the one for my 6?

2) If no, does it really make a diffrence because i am just going to end up bypassing the resonator with some tubing from Home Depot?

no i have never heard of them letting you exchange it. and you wont get it to work with your engine. it just wont line up and if you get it to it will have such sharp turns in it that it will defeat the purpose of doing it in the first place. sorry. try smoothing out the stock one, it works pretty well if you eliminate the air silencer between the engine and air box.

for some weird reason SLP tells me they dont make a high flow lid?!?!?

am i crazy or is this true?

They do not make a V6 lid. Only a V8 lid with the center exit hole on it. I think whisperlid is the only company that produces a V6 style lid. GM could've been smart and made them the same, but they let their engineers alter them just enough for us not to be able to use the V8 lids. You'll need to smooth out your lid, or break down and purchase the whisper lid; As it was mentioned before, the bends required to adapt the V8 lid totally defeat the smooth flowing purpose of the lid.
