My new idea for the perfect (adjustable) firebird exhaust.
My new idea for the perfect (adjustable) firebird exhaust.
How about this: Headers into 2.25" duals with dynomax bullets on them... and a 90' mandrel bend with an electric cutout on the outside edge of each bend, into a 3" cat+catback for when i want it to be quiet?
I think there would be room but maybe not for the cat but inspection is not an issue so maybe that wouldn't be a problem.. or maybe high flow cats instead of mufflers b/c I am kind of beyond wanting to run my car catless-at least not all the time.
someone on here has had a true dual exhaust before and they hated it. i would do a seach and try to find it. i think it was one of the moderators or something.

yeah, dominic. that's why i want it to be adjustable, my dynomax is quiet but my y-pipe cutout sounds like arse, that's why i want something in there to make it sound better. maybe i'll just run true duals with like bullets or something out the sides
sounds like you want to run 3in duals after the cats?? if so it good luck there is not enough roon for you to fit duals that big over the axle. the biggest you should go is 2.25 all the way through. it is big enough to fit and dosent sound like crap up top. that is how i did mine. it is guiet at cruise rpm in amy gear and when you step on it it is nice and loud. and other questions i got pics and a sound clip on here.
thats why i cant wait till turbo so i can just drop the catback and run open downpipe

yeah damn... i just wanted 2.25 duals in front of the cat and in back i was thinking a 3" catback.. my y-pipe cutout sounds like arse but i guess i'll just learn to live with it.
