  • y-pipe rattle fixed easily.. finally! (for free too)

I've had a rattle in my y-pipe for months, i took it to the dealership and they said I had to pay 600 bucks for a new y-pipe! hah!

So I go down to meinieke yesterday to have my bullet muffler welded on my I-pipe before my spintech.. and he heard the rattle when he was driving my car onto the lift.

He mentioned that the y-pipe is double walled, I told him I knew that, and knew that the inner pipe was most likely loose and they wanted me to buy a new pipe.. he torched 3 holes along the y-pipe, and tac welded them. Ive heard of some one else doing this on another board, so thought it was worth a try. It fixed it like a charm, and he didnt charge me for it.

For the few people with the same problem as me on this board, look into having the same procedure done.

you just fire some holes in the y-pipe... 3 in a line.. it doesnt matter really where.
