The EGR provision for 00+ cars is kind of crappy on the Pacesetter's IMO. My car, which I keep in very good clean condition all the time, had a feable EGR tube and it broke quickly when I started trying to bend it into position to hook it back up. Just an FYI.

The quality is fanastic! it's just that the location of the EGR on the 00+ cars must be a little off from the others, because it can be a bit of a pain to bend that tube without it breaking. I am seeing no SES light with my blockoff plate installed however!
They come to a 3" collector at the end of the y-pipe, which will mate up to your factory exhaust nicely! There's a spot in front of your cat that is kind of flat on the top side of your stock exhaust. If you cut right downstream from there to retain the cat, you will have the perfect size to match up to the provided y-pipe. Very nice fit.

yeah i'll be doing the swap, why? he is selling me his manifolds verrry cheap, still debating on how to get them under the hood, but also the EGR problems that most people seem to experience when installing headers wouldn't be a problem... and, technically, it would be stock, wouldn't it?
so the gains i expect to experience are: sound quality slight improvement, exhaust flow decent to good improvement, and i'll be able to change my spark plugs easily! and hopefully, all this for about $200.

That's about the same as what headers cost. Just get the headers. You're probably going to have problems with installing the tubular manifolds and it just doesn't really make sense. Don't do it.

They won't fit without modification to the y-pipe. I think at least two of us here have tried this. It just wasn't worth my time or money. If you actually do this thats awesome, but so far no one has actually gone through with it.
I disagree. The $200 he is speaking of is with labor and all I am sure. $200 for easy of switching plugs, some performance gain, etc...Not bad. And any decent exhaust shop should be able to do the install with ease. Making the y-pipe from the newer car fit up to the cat on the older car will not be a huge issue either.

yeah, well, i really don't mind testing this out, i am confident that it will work, mainly because OneQuickv6 is and he knows whats goin on, and it is a seemingly good alternative to getting headers... i hate having to risk getting a code thrown, so I had decided against getting regular headers. Maybe there are other people out there who think the same thing, too.
