I've been scheming again, trying to figure out a truly unique setup for the exhaust, or at least one that would sound bada** for not too much money. Here's the idea:
1. First of all, for loudness, use no muffler and no catalytic converters. Have an idea to remove rice sound...
2. As I suggested before, remove the bracket for the stock cat, cut the y collector at angle, run 3" pipe straight at angle past s-bend to I-pipe.
3. Connect 3" I-pipe to 3" pipe coming from y-collector.
4. Use a Y collector (3" inlet, dual 2 1/4" outlets) backwards to expand single 3" pipe into dual 2 1/4" pipes.
5. Have a custom 2 1/4" x-pipe made by muffler shop for you and use it around I-pipe area before the axle crossover.
6. Run both 2 1/4" pipes over axle and run one out each side of rear. Use whatever tips you want.
The small pipe diameter (2 1/4") should keep from losing too much backpressure and allow enough space to run both pipes over the axle and the x-pipe should help remove the rice sound and give it a meaner tone. Any comments or suggestions??
