• Loudmouth on a 98

I heard since it's a 98 I don't need the LT1 install kit needed in the 97-X's? Let me know if this is true, would be a nice thing to know

i truly believe you'll be dissapointed with the sound if you put a loudmouth on a V6. ask scott black what he thought about his.

Thanks but that wasn't exactly the question at hand.

      Anyone seriously know?

no, you'll still need the conversion pipe because of the cat. converter placement. ours and the lt1's cat are in the same place.

Don't be so pissy about people not answering your question. Yes, you need the LT1 install kit unless you want bottlenecked exhaust pressure.

You will hate it. Don't say you weren't warned.

Actually, contrary to what alot of people say about the Loudmouth (w/the exception of Scott, since he has-or had-one), the Loudmouth doesn't sound that bad. I got to hear Rich97 W68's last weekend, & it didn't sound all that bad at all, especially compared to some of the other exhausts I've heard previously.

i am with scott. i think rich97 should consider himself lucky to have his setup sound so good. but then again it could all be a matter of opinion. i know a whole lot of people that think running an open cutout souns goooood. i think running an open cutout sounds like azz. i hear V8s all the time that sound sweet, but i have only come across 1 or 2 V6s that sound V8 respectable.
