• Cutting off the exhaust, questions.

Im just getting sick of the exhaust. Its a 2000 Bird and it feels like its choking. Im just gonna hack it off, no cat, no muffler. If anyone can gimme pointers on this Id appreciate it. SES lights gonna come on I know that. How loud is this gonna be and how much of an increase will I feel if any? Im just sick of how clogged it feels, I need it to breath. Suggestions?? BTW Im broke for a while, so Im not getting a system, I plan on it thought. This is just temporary. I wanna hear everything from people who have done this.

im the exactly same boat you are, my cat is clogged so im just going to cut it off.

There was a 1 month period when i had nothing from the cat on forward, and it was pretty loud. i cant even imagine how its going to sound with no cat.

Just get a cutout until you can afford the whole system. Its going to be annoying-ly loud on any lengthy commute. If you do cut it off, don't throw it away because youre going to want to weld it back on before you save enough money for a whole system.

When I did my cat-back I tried the car out with the exhaust ending at the cat. It was pretty loud--just idling made the whole interior vibrate. It's pretty cool, but make sure you're ready to live with it.

PS. You won't need subs after you do this.

I have my High-Flow cat that I wanna put in, I was going to put it in with my SLP System when I got it. If I cut off my entire system can I put just the cat on and run from headers to cat to nothing? Would that make any differnce?

at least put in the high flow cat, if a cop pulls you over and he happens to look under your car and you have no cat you are in BIG trouble.

              its a federal offense
