    how many feet of 2inch wide heat wrap should i get to wrap my headers ? :(

    You shouldn't. You should have them ceramic coated.

    I think someone on this board (maybe it was James/12sec) had tried header wraps, and found they could catch fire.

      Here is some information I got from one of the header guys...

      Heat wrapping was very popular amongst the race crowd partially because it was the only thing available. These days, as often as a race team pulls and rebuilds the engine, the wrap is more convenient because it's easily kept in stock, can be applied on the spot, does a good job of scavenging and damage is not an issue as it would be on a street car. The heat wrap is also a festering point for moisture/oxidation/rust. Not good for a daily driver.
