I've constantly had problems with my o2-sim since I've cut my cat off. I like the sound, but the SES light is still coming on. I know alot of people have had problems with these on the 2000+ models, but does anyone know where I can get the computer reprogrammed so that the o2 sensor won't kick the light on? I'm in Alabama and I don't think there's anywhere around here that can do it. I'm taking a trip to Florida soon and was hoping I could take care of it then. Thanks

Are you sure the SES you're getting is from the post cat O2? Your O2 sim might be working fine, it could be something else right?2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Well, everytime the SES light comes on, I've taken it to get the code read, and it comes back the same everytime (the 02 sensor behind the cat). I took my car and had someone check the computer and the computer knows that the o2-sim is on there, it just isnt keeping the light off. Seems like the o2-sim would work on the 2000+ models since they work on the 98-99.For everyone with the 0-2 sim: the store I got mine from said that there are two different part numbers. I'll check my part number but I know that the ones I got don't work on the 2000+ models. Does anyone with a 2000+ have a part number of a working o2-sim?2001 Metallic Pewter Firebird A4,WW Groundeffects,T/A High Profile Spoiler,WS-6 Ram-Air Hood,Removed Hood Baffles,17x9.5 Chrome ZO6 Wheels,Nitto 555R DR,CF Whisper Lid,Dual Flowmaster Exhaust,K&N,Nos 5175 http://members.cardomain.com/firebird2084

Double check that part number.
if they are correct for you application Your O2 sims could be defective too. They are just resistors, and the ohm rating could be off.
Try unplugging them and cleaning them up if any debris is visible.
On many electical computer connections the tiniest bit of moisture will throw a code. The simple unplugging and re-plugging usually gets rid of it. You may want to try di-electric grease?15.41 @ 89.80 & 15.45 @ 91.64, 2.21 60ft, 3,440 raceweight, using OEM Equipment.
\'98 L67/M49 w/ 134,000 miles before spun bearing. \"It\'s all stock, Baby!\"

When I bought them, there were two in the box. They are for '97-2002 F-body and C5 Corvette. I don't have the box here with me to check the part number, but I guess I get to crawl under the bird tomorrow and check it out...could I possibly switch the one I have connected now with the other one that came with it?2001 Metallic Pewter Firebird A4,WW Groundeffects,T/A High Profile Spoiler,WS-6 Ram-Air Hood,Removed Hood Baffles,17x9.5 Chrome ZO6 Wheels,Nitto 555R DR,CF Whisper Lid,Dual Flowmaster Exhaust,K&N,Nos 5175 http://members.cardomain.com/firebird2084

Yeah I'd have to agree with Bliggida. Try unplugging the sensor cleaning it off. If any debris is on the sensor's connection point try sanding the debris off with fine sandpaper. And don't forget the di-electric grease before you hook it back up.

Well, I went by the place I bought my o2-sim from and it turns out they sold me the sims for a the v-8 instead of a v-6. They checked the part numbers and got it fixed, so I'm waiting on the right sim to come in now...should be a couple more days. And yeah...I've got an undercar light kit...it fits the car if you see it in person. I'm not ricing my car out.2001 Metallic Pewter Firebird A4,WW Groundeffects,T/A High Profile Spoiler,WS-6 Ram-Air Hood,Removed Hood Baffles,17x9.5 Chrome ZO6 Wheels,Nitto 555R DR,CF Whisper Lid,Dual Flowmaster Exhaust,K&N,Nos 5175 http://members.cardomain.com/firebird2084
