so my stock cat's guts decided to fall apart over the past few weeks, and i could hardly drive the car anymore..got a no-name 3" in/out cat installed today. it's made for a 5.9L engine, so i figure it'd flow just fine for the 3.8L.
WOW!-car is now very responsive, and definitly has more power. the tach climbs much faster than it used to, too. the rest of the exhaust is stock. exhaust sound is quite a bit louder, and also more "tinny." power gains are worth it tho i figure, but when i can afford it i'll get 3" piping all the way back. i'm taking it to the track friday to see how much my et decreases...
oh yeah, total cost was $191 CAD installed, with taxes...
