  • what the MAF sensor does

lets see if i have this right, the sensors detect how much air is going into the engine, so it can determine how much fuel to send, because the cylinders need a certain mixture of air and fuel ?? please correct me if i'm wrong, just trying to figure out how all this stuff works...

Measures the amount of air passing through it which the PCM uses to determine the operating condition of the engine and control the fuel delivery. Large amount of air passing through it means acceleration, and a small amount of air meand idling.
