Ok, quick question here. I just had a 2002 Z28 catback put on my car (s-pipe modified to fit on my car). Problem is, the car is not only VERY quiet(which I expected), but it does not sound good at all. It sounds kinda high pitched all the way through the RPM range, but luckily never totally turns ricy sounding. The catback has under 200 miles on it, so it is almost brand new.
My question is, will the exhaust note deepen as the catback ages, or will it always keep the high-pitched tone to it? Everything I read about Z28 catbacks pointed to them being decent in sound and kinda quiet, but not sounding like mine does.
Do I need another muffler, or not?
BTW, I have a Camaro SS muffler and tips sitting in my garage; should I put it on instead of the Z28 muffler/tips?
