The sole purpose of this thread is to help anyone that is deciding whether or not they should perform these mods. Mainly so someone can see how they first hand affected my 2001 V6.

    Pacesetter Headers:
These manifolds are beautiful. I got the Ceramic Coated or Jet Hot. They are lighter than stock and appear to have larger piping on the manifold and y pipe. After they were installed they became somewhat problematic. They rub on the steering shaft and the EGR problems were a pain in the ***. I've just recently figured everything out for the EGR and starting to mess with the steering problem. Also now i recently found out that my old spark plug metal boot won't fit with the new headers so i will have to figure that out as well. Problem is after a while of driving the rubber connection will come loose forcing me to drive on 5 cylinders.

The reason i got these headers is because down the road i am probably going with a cam/heads/p&p intakes. So i will want the most out of that setup and decided to do supporting mods first.

Now on to the performance aspect. These manifolds, despite many saying they werent worth the price, flow very well and they offer a nice gain over stock. Nothing that is going to pin me in my seat, but enough to notice the change. At highway speeds is where i noticed them most. My car pulls a lot better. Throttle response was improved over stock and the cars overall acceleration at any speed improved. The sound after i fixed the annoying EGR problems is amazing. My car sounds very nice and the rasp from my Loudmouth was severly diminished and there is a nice rumble at low rpms. It still sounds like a 6 up top, but its not as obvious because of the lack of rasp.

    Free Ram Air Mod:
This was an easy mod to perform. I just used tin snips to cut out the bottom part of the air box and it cut very easily.

The performance gains werent very noticable during city driving. On the highway is where this mod really shines. The car felt a lot smoother and i felt a small difference especially after 60mph during WOT runs.

    MAF Descreen:
Now i did plenty of searching this board about all the threads dedicated to this mod and decided that i would try it and see how for myself. The actual descreening took little to no effort and thats mainly why i did it.

As for performance my car suprisingly felt better. I noticed more of a difference a cruising speeds. My car doesnt hesitate and throttle response was improved. I did reset my PCM after the mod was performed, so that may or may not have helped at all.
