New ram air intake idea! Anyone done it yet??

I was cleaning my car and removed the front license plate insert on my front bumper. I looked under my bumper and under the hood and wondered if anyone has made a ram air intake that fits inside the front license plate area of our cars. It would be pretty easy. Cut out a small area then mount and hang some tubing of some sort running from the front bumper up to the airbox. Thoughts? I might work on this tomorrow! [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

you're talking about running the ram air through the grill? i thought the same thing, problem is i can't see an easy way to keep the airflow straight. like there'd have to be a few bends in the hoses, don't you think? let us know how it works out [img]smile.gif[/img]

People do it all the time. One mentioned that he did it less than a week or so ago.

I went to talk to a performance shop about installing a custom turbo and that was where my intercooler was going to go...then put a custom grill to keep the front end smooth [img]smile.gif[/img]
