Scott, that bullet muffler might be one problem. Also, have you let the system burn in yet (at least a few weeks)? Even my Hooker exhaust sounded ricey when I first put it on (and it's a V8 ).

Chris, i had the bullet taken out today and a Carsound cat put in its place. It is not as deafening inside the car, which is a huge complaint of mine. Also the other complaint would be over 3500 RPMs the car sounds like a Tin can and you can hear EVERY single pop out of the engine. I am embarassed to floor it. :(

I don't imagine any burn in time very necessary except w/ the cat, because its new, but the Loudmouth is ALL piping, even the resonator is just a bigger piece of pipe.

        Scott,

There is a slight burn-in time for the exhaust.

However, I can't imagine why your car sounds like you say it does. :( I went to Atlanta Chassis Dyno today and got nothing but compliments on the sound...

Sound inside of the car is louder, but not half as bad as the V8 with the same exhaust. The only thing that rattles is my automatic shifter (which rattles because I'm too lazy to tighten it up). I'm thinking it was possibly the glasspack/bullet muffler?

My car has no other exhaust work, and only a CAI as its other performance mod...

Shoot me an email. We'll figure out what's causing the sound ASAP...

Just for referrence, how would you compare the sound above 3,000 rpm of this (with the cat) with the spintech? I know the sound of which you speak (from hearing cutout)above 3k which I imagine is much like yours just a bit quieter. Thanks,

          Cp
