exhaust completed

my exhaust is finally completed.
pacesetter headers/ y pipe
magnaflow high flow cat
18" dynomax bullet muffler
flowmaster 80 series
2.75 piping
i spent about six hours yesterday putting my headers on. wasnt that bad except it was so hot and humid. but my car sounds really good now. the headers made it sound deeper but it is also a little quieter. i like it alot. ran into a few problems but nothing too bad, the oil dipstick was in the way so i had to cut a slot in the headers for it to fit, but now it is causing some vibration in the car with my dash. i guess i will have to try to secure it somehow. im pleased with the results i noticed a difference in power, only downside now i got some squeeks and rattles.

i hooked the egr valve to the headers but blocked it off from the intake, that way i could still plug the connecter into it and avoid throwing a code, but while driving it around the "service engine soon" light comes on after about 5-10 mins of driving. is there any way to not throw a code without hooking it completly up?

you cant hook it up to the header and not the intake and not expect a code.

mines on the intake and not the header, the header is blocked off. no codes or anything.

so the intake has to be connected but the header can be blocked off? thanks for the info, i really dont like driving with a engine light on in my dash.
