Another thought would be maybe we could put a nitrous plate in the spacer for the nitrous and fuel lines and jets.

Would the jets be too close to? Good idea though..

I was doing a little research on Delrin and other materials and I found this chart. It says the melting point of Delrin is only 347 degrees F, not 1500 like someone posted earlier. There are a lot of other materials with higher melting points available.
And what about the its water absorbtion property? I really don't know what it means when it says .25% in 24 hours. But I'm guessing that might be a problem if you use Delrin to block off the coolant flow to the TB.
If its still the best material to use, here's a source besides OnlineMetals.com to buy from.~Derrick My Webpage
\'96 3.8L V6 M5 Firebird Y87 | 162.8 RWHP / 196.7 RWTQ
• SLP CAI • Y87 Package - 3.23s • 180º thermo w/ fan switch • TB spacer from DEE
1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4

If you melt this spacer, then you have bigger problems. I have ran my spacer for over a year with no problems. It does NOT absorb coolant.
I will post a list of those interested sometime today, I will need to get your cars info.

Okay thanks, just what I wanted to hear. :D
I've got my 1/8" peice ( :( ) that I'm going to try to use. I've already traced the gasket pattern on it, now I just need to cut it out. I like to try things out on my own, but if it comes down to it I might just buy the kit.~Derrick My Webpage
\'96 3.8L V6 M5 Firebird Y87 | 162.8 RWHP / 196.7 RWTQ
• SLP CAI • Y87 Package - 3.23s • 180º thermo w/ fan switch • TB spacer from DEE
1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4

I have spoke with Magnus about this. Both he and I think that 1/4" will be better suited for everyone. It will reduce the amount the TB is moved and provide less hassles with the install and reduce any compatability issues with different setups. There shouldn't be any noticeable difference in how it insulates vs. the 3/8". I don't want to go and change everything, so I would like to know what everyone thinks about it. The thing I want to avoid is ordering 2 different size sheets. 2 smaller sheets will cost more than if I order 1 large sheet and will certainly drive up the cost on these.

Dee,
You can take me off your list ... I found a piece of delrin in our machine shop at work and made a 1/2" thick  TB spacer.
Installing it required removing the original studs completely, and using three new M6x1.0x60mm bolts, but it's in and working great!
Yeah, I know, 1/2" ?? ... but it was all we had in the scrap pile that I could use (it actually measures 0.640" thick !!), and I've got enought left for a spare ;)
Maybe I can get a nitrous nozzle in there after all !! :Dassociate of VENOM VI

2000 WS6 Pewter TransAm M6
NOT stock
330/346 rwhp/rwtq
(pre-headers)

1998 3.8L V6 Camaro M5 (the Silver Bullet) w/lot\'s of bolt-on\'s
-Ryan\'s car now-
60\': 2.165
1/8 run: 9.494 @ 72.57 mph
209rwhp/253rwtq
