    This will need to be determined. I know that it is possible on the 98 and newer models to back out the studs enough to fit a 3/8" spacer. But 1 bolt needed to be replaced with a longer one. While it will work, there isn't alot of extra margin, and the risk of stripping the thread is increased.

    So I am guessing on a 1/4" one, the likelyhood that you could keep the studs is greater. Not sure about the bolt though. What I think I am going to do is to try and get a couple of people to test fit them (maybe some of the venomVI guys), just to be 100% sure.

    I am going to be making 1/4" unless there are strong objections otherwise. I want to work with you, is there any way to could take a look at this? I do know that there isn't much room if you have the SLP CAI. See if the CAI will move approximately 5/16" of an inch to account for the spacer and the extra gasket. If all else fails, you can send it back if it doesn't work and I will refund your money. I just can't say 100% unless someone has installed one.

            jsut use more then one layer, i guess Blue RTY sealen would be good enough, but i am nto sure on the properties of whatever this stuff is you are using.

                  Cool, I just saw this post. Looks like I'll be one of the Beta Testers for the project. I'll try and see what kind of gains I recieve, and I'll take some pics if anyone is interested.

                    Um, I have one question before I get involved.
                    We have a throttle cable attatched to the throttle body.
                    If you stuff a 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch piece of delron in there how will it affect the throttle cable?
                    Have you done any WOT testings with a scanner?
                    Just curious

                      I have experience with a 98 and a 3/8" spacer. It had no problem hitting 100% throttle. Later models won't matter since they are electronic. Now these are going to be 1/4. IIRC is actually moves the cable away from the TB, which should make it easier to achieve wot.
