Both will give you similar gains. Yea, I put the FTRA kit on my car, great highway power. I think it also has better quality compared to a friend of mine who has the SLP.FTRA kit, Whisper Lid, free ram air mod, Richmond 3.73 gears, Dynomax Catback, Poly Tranny mount, Vette Wheels, Expensive Audio equipment :). sorry for the novice questions ...but im use to lt1's.....not familiar with ls1's or the v6 3.8
