John,
The flowmaster exhaust in the 3.4 is a good buy. I'm use to a v-8 so at first it sounded ricey, but thats because we're dealing with a 6. I am getting use to the sound and am starting to like it!

Yawn. Personally the Flowmaster sound is just getting old to me. They sound decent on a V8, but even then, I can tell when someone has a FM and it basically just makes me roll my eyes. Everyone I know hates them because they're so cheap, and there's really no pride in owning one (IMO at least, although I'm very aware there are some proud FM owners here). I too noticed how those were the same clips a long time ago, and it only added to my opinion of Flowmaster's low-qualitiness. I've heard some good sounding V6 FM setups, I'm just saying it'll still sound like a Flowmaster no matter what you do to it. But to each his own, so go for it.

Flowmaster rocks. How much did you pay for that Borla? I thought about buying a Borla kit until I saw the prices...

True, that's why you buy it used. Borla rocks on V8's but they're not the best on V6's. I was going to go with a Loudmouth setup actually, until a guy offered me he entire exhaust setup (everything in my sig) for $400. My first thought was "Something's gotta be wrong with them", but actually they're great. I've heard some really crappy Borla sound clips, and I know that some people just flat out hate them for the price alone (which I completely understand, because they are pricey). I'm not starting a "this exhaust vs. that exhaust" thing, because everything is just a matter of opinion. Borla on a V6 will normally not sound all that impressive unless you have other intake/exhaust mods as well, and it sounds a lot better under load rather than in neutral. But anyway, like I said, although I've heard some nice Flowmaster setups, 95% of everyone I've spoken to just flat out don't like them. It's sort of like a "hit of the month" song. Even though the song still sounds good in 4 months, everyone's just so tired of it that they turn it off whenever it comes on. I'm just personally tired of the sound, and I can still listen to someone's FM setup and say that it sounds "good" while still being able to say that it's "not my thing". It's just as simple as that. To each his own, like I said.

i got a flowmaster 80 series + cut out!!! exhaust pipes is 2.75 inches, but the tips is 4.5 inches. the big tips really help my flowmaster sound a little bit louder. flowmaster is not too loud that some old folks dont like about. but when i uncap my cut-out. the whole neighborhood hear my exhaust... so i runing with two sound now. nasty cutout sound or flowmaster sound.
