  • Confused about these pacesetters

I know someone that got them from a pacesetter dropshipper same part number but his has a 3inch collector at the end these say 2.5 and his had a funky y-pipe in two pieces. Whats the deal (they are same part number). Also what is the deal with the
    Beginning Year 1995
    Ending Year 1999
part? That wont fit a 2000?

    Thank in advance.

I think they are talking about the portion of the Y-pipe before the 2 sides merge. the end of the Y-pipe is 3".

The 2-piece design for the Y-pipe is a solution that they used to aleviate fitment problems that they had with one of their batches.

They probably only test fit them on cars within those years, or figured that the 2000+ cars with tubular manifolds would never bother to swap. I dunno? but in any case, they will fit.

I would buy them with the ceramic coating. Watch Summit though, I purchased mine through them and they sent me coated headers, but a painted Y-pipe. I didnt know any different and installed them that way. It wasnt until afterward that I found out other people were getting coated Y-pipes as well.

Thanks, they will affect the sound more than tubulars, I dont care about appearance or performance that much, but Im buying a new cat, and would rather have a new ypipe to weld it too than rig it to the old pos.

i dunno its summitracing, i ordered pacesetter gaskets from their 2 months ago and for $25, they sent me 1.. so i told them for $25 this should be sold as a pair, and they said they called up the pacesetter rep and he said that i was right, so i returned the gasket and now gotta order from pacesetter and wait forever again.
so i dont trust summit racing anymore

I don't trust summit that much but I watch what I buy.
