i found a borla system for a 98-02 trans-am camaro ls1 for pretty cheap. Will this system switch over ok to my v6 '99 thanx

Sure it will, the brackets are a little different (location) but any muffler shop can fix that cheap. It's probably 3" which is good. I put a stock Z-28 system on mine with headers, ff cat and an added bullit muffler with the stock muffler. Sounds deep, kinda quiet, but not too bad at all.
