• Differences between these two catbacks.

Hey
First question. I am getting the basics before I take the plung into the nitrous group. I can get headers and a cat back right now, then the CAI will have to come after I get my tax money back. But the question is;
For Nitrous, would it be beter to get Headers and a Catback, or just get Headers and a Cut-out?

Next question:
I have decided on the Flowmaster V6 system.
95-97 3.8 systen is a different part number then the 98-02 system.

pn 17357 for the 95-97 pic:

pn 17358 for the 98 and up pic:

So according to them diagrams, the difference is the Overaxle pipe. Whats soo different about it? I thought the systems from 93-02 were interchangable with the difference being the S PIPE. Will this still fit on my car if it get the 98+ system.

The 98+ System is $265 at Texas speed, and is $296 at summit.
The 95-97 System isnt at Texas Speed, and is $285 at summit.

At local performance shop matches anyones price in north america. I live in Canada. So I would save $20 usd going with the 98+ system opposed to the 95-97 system, which is like $28 canadian.. dont save much so I dont know if It is worth the chance/hassle if the hangers are different.
thanks.

Go with a catback. Cutout is nice, but you definately want a catback. Loudmouth or TSP are your best bet IMO.

But the TSP without tips is pretty cheap and free flowing so it may be worth checking out!

You have 400,000Km on your car?!?! Isn't that about 200,000 miles? Anyway its the hangers are a little different I think. I would just get a LM.

TSP can definitely ship either the flowmaster (they can get any of them, even if not listed on their site) or their Rumbler to Canada. I used to do it all the time, and we'd just use USPS to avoid the customer having to pay a ton for customs. Give them a call or e-mail to see how they can help you.

I looked on the TSP site and it looks like they only accept credit cards. And I do not have one of them.. haha.
Looks like I will just get the local place.. (well about 1 1/2 hrs away) to pricematch the flowmaster system for $285 (jegs/summits price)

And yah my car has 250,000 miles and still kicking. Driven all winter and has been started when its -40*c.. thats -40*f too, all of its life.

Actually, they can do paypal, personal check, money orders, etc too! You just need to call them to make sure they are expecting the money order or whatever when it arrives, so they know what to ship out
