  • Rumbler

Well my birthday is coming up and im going to have some extra cash.. ( guessing from 300-400$) and I thought an exhaust would be a nice upgrade. I want one that adds a nice performance boost, but isnt ungodly loud like the loudmouth.

I was thinkin about a texas speed rumbler...any opinions on that? Also there is 2 setups.

"Texas Speed & Performance Rumbler Catback Exhaust System With Smoked Tips" for 275$

    Or

Texas Speed & Performance Rumbler X True Dual Exhaust System. Complete 3" Mandrel Bent System With 18" Bullet Mufflers for 419$

I really dont have 419$ but would It be worth it? I thought I read that true duals sound very bad on our motors is this correct? If I went with just the catback system what else would I need? Me and a friend will be doing the install and his dad will weld it for free. Also would a resonator or anything help reduce the rasp? Ive read they get really raspy above 3500, which is a problemc because I have an auto.

I want it to be pretty loud, but not like ungodly loud incase it sounds really raspy uptop... help? Thanks!

Go to the exhaust sound clips thread and take a good listen... i just got the cat back system with polished tips. It looks great, havent had the chance to install it yet, because i'm still waiting for my pacesetters to show up (should be this week). The duals i think are overkill for the v6's but it's all preference. Their standard cat back should do fine. And you are gonna need to either fabricate an s pipe or buy the slp install kit from ftpp.

With polished tips? I only see the smoked ones.

Ive listened to all of them in the exhaust section several times, all the cammed ones sound nice lol.

"Texas Speed & Performance Rumbler Catback Exhaust System With Oval Exhaust Tips - ON SPECIAL THROUGH JULY 15TH!"

Its 260$ but it says on sale through july 15th, is it still selling for that price or...?

By the way I'll be running a stock cat and no headers for a while, so will it still sound ok?

And I DO need the SLP install kit with the 3" S-pipe right? Its like 80$ or something

don't get the true duals because 3" true duals is big for v8s (usually for guys with power adders) so even if you have a blower i think it'd be overkill. Rumbler is a great system, i think youll love it.

Alrite thanks guys, also will I need a high flow cat for this setup? Cause I hear it gets a little raspy with one Id rather stick with stock cat, and upgrade to headers later.

I would get one, it's a nice compliment to the rumbler. I think it would be a pita to try and fit the 3" cat back to the 2 1/4 outlet of the stock cat. If you did go with a high flow cat, your headers would bolt right up to the cat as well.

I have the bullet muffler on mine before the over axle, cuts the rasp and lowers the tone. I have 3" system. (Blower)
