if you take them off and look at them the welds on the bottom that make the seal are not even and have high and low spots. i put them in a vice and used a flat file to to make smooth and even
this is why i think the paper gasket work for more people, the paper fills in those low spots

There are no welds on the side of the flange that attach to the head... none that I remember at least.
I don't see why a company would sell crooked headers anyway?
Either way, it's prolly been 9k miles or so... they just gave out.

Where did you get the material? And is this better than Felpro? I'm not looking forward to replacing the gaskets every 10k miles so I want to get something GOOD in there. Also going to get locking bolts, because the passenger side is a HUGE pain in the *** to tighten.
My head bolts are allen right now..
But on the passenger side, we had to take off the AC compressor and alternator and a bunch of crap... and the middle bottom bolt you can't even go to unless you have skinny arms and are all the way under the car, the thing is freakin impossible. They could have definately put that bolt hole in a better place LOL

Yeah my headers didn't come with bolts, so we just went down to the local bolt store and picked up some that would fit. they were only like $3 for 15 lol
I am going to pick up some locking bolts so I don't have to worry about tightening them every again, and get one special bolt for the impossible to reach spot that we will be able to tighten easily.
