• Changed the Borla plates>>>>>>

I went from the smallest open one all the way to the largest one, it actualy sounds really cool
it sounds best around 2000rpm's but it still sounds clean and mean
It's a little to loud for a extended road trip now, but heck, I can change it back in 15min.

What combination have you guys found to be the best?

for power i've found the full blockoff to be the best but i have headers to full 3" exhaust so open was just too much flow. when i had just the borla i ran my best track time with it fully open.
i was swimming in the carribean. animals were hiding behind the rocks except for the little fish, but they told me the squid\'s trying to talk to me. oink, oink. where is my mind?

ive always used the widest open plate, and was always happy with the sound, but as mentioned earlier, it is a little loud on long trips, especialy cruising at 70-80mph, but i plan on puttin the smallest plate in afer i get my headers installed like deuce mentioned.

I think the smaller plates are louder and more annoying sounding than the fully open plate.

If I was going on a trip or something, I would put the fully closed plate in. It still sounds good and flows good even with that plate.

I had a DMH Performance E-Borla valve on my Borla.... open and close it on demand from inside the car! ;) I've had a run of bad luck with that valve so I've ordered a McCord Power Plate. Same concept... open and close from inside the car on demand. ;)

I've been running my Borla closed these last few weeks since I didn't have an electric valve. I really miss the wide open Borla when cranking it up and cruising! ;)

Since I've installed my 3" cat & 3" s-pipe, it's to the point that I can't stand my car on long trips with the Borla CLOSED! I'm probably going to install some sound deadening material in the hatch area.

I think I spent $585 or so from summit when they were offering 10% off and free shipping, well worth it when you think that it is stainless steal and never going to need to be changed.

$300 used from a fellow WTFBA member! ;) It was on his 2000 SS. Install cost? $37.50!! :D We both went in for exaust work... remove his Borla (install on mine), install his Y-pipe and loudmouth! ;)

Used is the way to go.... it's guaranteed for a million miles & it's stainless steel... why not buy used! :D
