I was wondering what to do with my flowmaster cat-back as far as emissions, meaning do i have to get an o2 sensor bung welded on for emissions? Or can i just use the Sim and pass emissions? What did everyone else do?

with just a cat back you wont have to worry about emissions or an o2 sensor

is your new setup setting off the SES light in the dash. If not you are golden.

Or, if I read your post more specificaly...you dont currently have a rear O2 sensor at all?

if so you will need a sim ofr OBD2 tsting state. A few states inspect car visually...don't want things like disabled senors obviously hanging down un used and stuf.

i just got my cat-back a few days ago and i am gonna have it put on monday. What i was trying to say is, can i just use an o2 sim or am i gonna have to have the shop that installs it to put a bung in and still use my o2 sensor?

The shop will have to put a bung in if your catback doesn't have one to use your o2 sensor. If you have nothing else done a sim is pointless.

I run a sim. never put a post cat bung in. PA emissions (at leat Allegheny and Philadelphia counties so far) are based solely on SES lights. As long as you dont throw a code, you will pass. You WILL throw a code if you dont have either a post cat sensor or sim. For our cars its hit and miss with high flow cats as to wether of not it throws a code.
