I just did a search and came across this
http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0305phr_v6/
It reads:
The American Thunder exhaust for V-6 F-Body cars worked on the DynoJet chassis dyno to the tune of almost 11 hp at the rear wheels, which is nearly a seven percent improvement. Using a Vericom VC2000 Performance Computer, an on-board, vehicle dynamics testing device (www.vericomcomputers.com), we observed an improvement in 0-to-60 time from 7.83 to 7.44-sec. and quarter mile stats going from 16.15 at 89.14 to 15.87 at 90.69.

An 11 rwhp gain from the catback

That could be true for THAT car, but don't believe everything you read, especially magazine numbers. Remember: All V6 fbodies don't react the same to mods.

Their car started out at 16.15 in the the 1/4? Aren't we mid 15's?

I am looking for a catback, and this article really caught my eye. I don't care if it's real rice sounding up high, i want more HP!!

I got that magazine and one thing i noticed was that they say the 2 exhaust outlet package from the factory is the "Y99" package. Isn't it the Y87 or something like that?

Im not sure about the y99 thing but they said it was suspension tuned y99 package, maybe they got it wrong and should have said y87

well, y99 is definitely the code for the handling package... and im sure theres a chance that might include the exhaust and still not the 3.42 gearing. i hope they wernt running 16's with 3.42's. youre not the first to post about this article. i think those numbers are believable... Exhaust wasnt the only thing they did to that car however.
