I saw this website and the Loudmouth exhaust setup near the bottom looks as if it would fit my 97 V6 bird without any changes other than a few cuts and welds of my stock pipe. How do you guys think it would sound??

I'm getting it for my 97 bird as soon as i get my income tax return. I think all you need is the exhaust, a single cat LT1 kit...and I think thats it, you'll have to ask rich about the rest, but im sure thats all. I can't wait!!! I would just point out that some of the V8 guys have had trouble with police and state inspections with the Loudmouth system. With the police it is a matter of opinion; if they think its too loud you may get a ticket. With the inspection, some have been failed because the sytsem is essentially a straight through system without a muffler. Some state legislation is more strict than others, so I would check that out.
Just a couple of things to consider before you drop the money for the system. Many have had no trouble but there are those that have.Comment

Honestly, it's not half as loud on our cars as it is in the V8 cars...
The only time it gets too loud is if you floor it...which if you do in front of a cop, you might as well pull over.

not sure about the 3.4, but you can get it from SLP for $350, and I know for a 97, you have to get the lt1 kit.Then: 1997 3.8L Red Firebird~SOLD!~<p>Now: 2002 Atlantic Blue Dodge Ram 1500Comment

i'm looking at slp performance parts page now and i can't seem to find a loudmouth for a lt1 (or ls1) where else should i look?RedlineVSixComment
