  • Question on Borla and Rumbler

I have decided to get a borla muffler to quiet down my rumbler a little. Can someone give me a link to the right muffler or a part number. When i get the borla put on do i cut off the resonator thats on the rumbler now and put it there or do i need to mount it somewhere else in the exhaust system?

...no...the rumbler is pretty much straight pipes with a bullet muffler, i think its a dynomax, but not too sure, well anyways i believe you will could either replace the bullet muffler already on it, or you could add the borla muffler behind the 'stock' bullet muffler

pretty sure both will no fit under car. entire midpipe is only about 32" before it starts to bend up over axle or connect to s pipe on either end. I don't know much about the runbler...what pipinp...tail pipes, etc...but if possible maybe mount the borla muffler sideways up under the gas tank...like stock and many after market systems...and keep the inline bullet muffler as well. You will need new tail pipe(s) for this most likely. Having an oval muffler is usually good to cut down on over all sound level...having and additional hi flow bullet muffler as well deepens the overal tone and further reduces unbirdaled raspiness...IMO.

Either way it could be tricky getting an oval muffler under the mid section of car...real close to drive line and be all bangy, bangy, rattle, rattle like.
